Let's work to mediate the problem together with Page's Mentoring to Accelerate Progress and Success (MAPS), a structured mentorship program to encourage emerging professionals from different backgrounds to stay in the communications field.
As one of the world’s best and brightest communicators, you can have a tremendous impact on communicators and aspiring communicators of color who face unique barriers that can be circumvented or eliminated with the guidance of a mentor.
Throughout your time as a MAPS mentor, you will:
- Guide and support professionals of color on their career journeys, regardless of their career stage.
- Help create a more inclusive and connected industry.
- Engage in reverse mentorship—learning from diverse perspectives outside of the industry’s majority.

- Fill out the application form below to help us understand more about you, your expertise and what program participation should look like for you.
- Receive your mentee assignment(s), they will be issued ahead of our program kick-off in May. Note, you'll be able to indicate your preference for number of mentees on your application.
- Start mentoring! You're encouraged to customize your mentorship dynamics based on the preferences of you and your mentee. Minimum requirements? Quarterly touch bases and a one-year commitment to the MAPS program.

Who's going to participate?
The Mentors: Page members, Page Up members and Page DEI Advisory Board Members
The Mentees: Students, emerging professionals (1-4 years) and rising leaders (5-10 years) in the communications industry
How long is the commitment?
The initial commitment is for one year, but we hope to establish long-term relationships beyond the formal MAPS program structure.
How will we meet?
It's up to you! Mentorship pairs have the freedom to implement formal, informal, face-to-face, or virtual connections.
How often will we meet?
Quarterly touch bases are the minimum requirement for the year, but you're welcome to meet more often than that.

What's the Page DEI Advisory Board?
The Page Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Board is a governing body created by Page to manage the planning and daily work of Page's diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts. The DEI Advisory Board provides counsel on DEI efforts, and has developed a series of initiatives and ongoing work that demonstrates Page's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Formerly the Diversity & Inclusion Subcommittee, the new DEI Advisory Board aims to (1) Develop clarity about diversity and inclusiveness of Page and its activities, and work toward becoming a more diverse and inclusive organization; (2) Enable Page members to drive diversity and inclusion within their own organizations; and (3) Engage the industry through partnerships and awareness building to promote DE&I in the profession.
